Stern but compassionate, the Platinum Dragon is an implacable foe of Tiamat and her worshippers and of evil dragons and evil in general. He preaches his followers to help the helpless but to let those capable of taking care of themselves do so, albeit with the assistance of information and healing from the followers of Bahamut.
His worshippers often resemble crusading knights, even if they are not actually members of a knightly order. The empire has several knighttly orders dedicated to Bahamut, most notably the Platinum Knights.
He is viewed as a powerful angel by the Church of Lothian. His dragon worshippers believe otherwise, but rarely make an issue of it, as they respect Lothian, even if some of his followers have gotten confused over the centuries.
There are whispers that Bahamut has begun to create a new sort of servant in his battle against Tiamat, but what such a servant would be like, and who would qualify, no one really knows.
Like Lothian, Bahamut observes Theoday as a day of rest. Clerical magic other than healing and curing spells will not function from sunrise to Sunset on Theoday.

Bahamut is Lawful Good and only accepts good clerics. His domains include Air, Dragon, Good, Luck and Protection. (The Dragon domain is found in the Draconomicon.) His favorite weapon is the heavy pick or bite. His symbol is a star set against a starry nebula.
