Baroness Talitha Midwood

The eighth baron of Midwood, Talitha was the elder sister of Baron Nicodemus Midwood.
A devout child almost from birth, she entered priesthood of Lothian, and was rising steadily through the religious hierarchy, when her brother, Benoni Midwood, died. She returned home to take up her responsibilities as heir to Baron Abidah Midwood.
In due course, when her father died, the golden-haired Talitha threw herself into her new role as baroness. She reached out to the church in Tarsis and successfully lobbying to have the barony declared a diocese with its own bishop.
Until such time as she could wed and bear a child, she reigned in her younger brother Nicodemus' adventures, should the worst happen.
In IA 697, her fears were realized. It was a harsh winter after a blight that had destroyed much of the barony's crops. Not only were her people starving, so too were the Green Mountain Kobolds and Black Reavers, who staged raids on the barony, trying to take what little food was available for themselves.
The fighting turned the white snows of the Tulgey Wood and Green Mountain red with blood.
The baroness led from the front, trying to hold the kobolds off at the frozen Moss River near Maidensbridge. During a break in the fighting, she moved through the wounded and dying, healing wounds and comforting them as best she could. And so it was that a goblin sniper caught her unprepared, shooting her with a poisoned arrow that pierced her heart. Attempts to cure her accomplished nothing: The poison had been selected for this very purpose, and she sickened and died within days.
