Clan Glangirn

One of two dwarf clans formed by the survivors of the Green Mountain dwarfhold of Glangirn, which was conquered by the green dragon Gax 500 years ago.

The largest group of descendants and survivors of Glangirn still use the name as a surname. They live among the humans of Midwood, working as working as smiths, woodcutters or pony breeders. Abortive efforts to form their own enclaves have been seen as a waste of time by the Glangirn dwarves.

The majority of Clan Glangirn lives in Middleborough, although they can be found in lesser numbers in Foxton on Moss and Maidensbridge. The Glangirn dwarves tend to assimilate well, especially compared to the dwarves of Clan Farrin, owning their own businesses and prosper as well as any human. Of the two dwarf clans, they are the most likely to leave the Anvil Plateau for Grail Keep, Tarsis or even Ptolus.

Glangirn dwarves, who often worship Hanseath or Lothian, tend to view Farrin dwarves as hard-headed zealots in a hurry to give their lives away to whatever Gax has left within the mountain. When the two clans clash in (regular) drunken brawls, Glangirn dwarves tend to bring strength in numbers to their side.
