A long time ago, there were many more druids in the world than there are now, and they belonged to a group called the Circle of Green. There are no major druid organizations anymore. These characters are mostly loners now.

Although the Circle of the Green is gone, many druids still refer to all natural living things collectively as "the Green," and the force that animates the undead as "the Dark." Both of these idioms are said to originate from an ancient land in the distant west.
