Duchy of North Folk

From Praemal

Located northeast of the Duchy of Southerly on the Prustan Peninsula, bordered by the ocean on the east and stretching toward the Grey Mountains in the northeast, North Folk is the birth place of Lothian.

This relatively small Duchy -- originally a barony in Lothian's time -- contains the sites of Lothian's birth, crucifixion and eventual ascension. Although Tarsis is the seat of Lothian's church today, North Folk is considered by most worshippers to be the holiest site, and pilgrims are a year-round presence in the duchy.

Nowhere is the worship of the old gods of Prust more strongly opposed and worshippers of those gods more openly persecuted. On the other hand, worshippers of Kran have been repeatedly convicted of poisoning members of the ducal family over the last 30 years.
