Plains of Panish

The "breadbasket of the Empire," the Plains of Panish are home to numerous isolated farming communities and various nomadic races that the homesteaders view with open suspicion.

Grassy, fertile plains, these rolling fields stretch for seemingly endless miles. Remote, primitive tribes of humans, litorians (lionlike humanoids), wemics, and other races live here -- almost no elves or dwarves, however.

The region is also prone to tornadoes, especially in the summer, and communal storm shelters are common among the homesteaders. Older shelters, built long ago by litorians, wemics or gnolls, also dot the landscape, but their entrances can be hard to find.

The imperial capital of Tarsis is located here. Southeast of the capital, near the borders of the Prustan Peninsula is the port city of Istoma, where much of the region's agricultural bounty is shipped out to the rest of the empire and foreign nations.
