Originally the god of Mazin the Wicked, the Burning Prince today is a favorite god of wizards, sorcerers and war mages concentrating on destructive magics, the Burning Prince is the god of magical destruction and power for its own sake. He urges his worshipers to develop ever more potent and destructive evocation magics as an end in itself.

He appears as a wizard the size of a giant, his head wreathed in flame, a flaming staff in one hand, a burning spell book in the other.

His emissaries are efreet, intelligent self-propelled swords and red dragons.

The Burning Prince is Chaotic Neutral and his domains are Destruction, Fire, Knowledge and Magic. His symbol is a burning spell book and his favored weapon is the quarterstaff.

Many of his clerics take levels in wizard, sorcerer or war mage and eventually take levels in the Mystic Theurge prestige class.
