Postmus orders library to remove art history book

Last Wednesday, First District Supervisor Bill Postmus ordered San Bernardino County libraries to remove a book on the history of Japanese manga comic books that included images of sex.

In the interests of letting folks get at the raw data themselves:

Did you know that the Education Code, sections 41401-41407 limits the number of administrative employees in high schools to 7 for every 100 teachers? Or that 43.3 percent of adult education learners are in English as a Second Language programs? These and other fascinating facts may be found in the newly updated California Department of Education’s 2006 Fact Book. The Fact Book is now available online at http://www.cde.ca.gov/re/pn/fb/ or you can order a hard copy by calling the CDE Press Sales Office at 800-995-4099.
